Your Guide to Covid-19 Vaccination

When it comes to Covid-19, protection for all Malaysians will only be achieved if we can vaccinate as many eligible individuals as possible. If you are unsure about what to do before and after vaccination, here is a simple guide to help you:



BEFORE VACCINATION

Ensure You’re Healthy & Well Rested

If you feel unwell, do not turn up for your vaccination appointment. Your appointment can be rescheduled to another day when you are better.

Eat & Hydrate Sufficiently

To help you to deal with any potential anxiety and minor discomfort during vaccination, make sure you eat and hydrate sufficiently. Drink lots of water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Research About Vaccines 

Take some time to read and be informed about vaccines and its possible side effects. Do ensure that you read up on the vaccination experiences of other recipients to know what to expect. You may prepare some paracetamol as a precaution against common side effects.

 

AFTER VACCINATION

Stay Hydrated & Get Ample Rest

After vaccination, make sure you drink plenty of water and get a lot of rest, especially if you experience any of the common side effects. If necessary, do take one or two days off.

Avoid Heavy Exercises

Do make sure to avoid any strenuous activities right after the vaccination. Taking time to rest is important for your body.

Be Prepared For Serious Side Effects

Do make sure to monitor your health and be wary of any serious side effects and consult a medical professional if you have any concerns.
