MR.DOLLAR Social Media Contest General Terms & Conditions

Introduction

  1. The ‘MR.DOLLAR Monthly Contest’ (the “Contest”) is an online contest organised by MR.D.I.Y. GROUP (M) BERHAD and its affiliates (including MRD (Central) Sdn. Bhd.) (“MR.DOLLAR”). Participants are required to follow the specific mechanics of each individual Contest stipulated in the respective Promotional Materials (“Promotional Material”) published by MR.DOLLAR on its official Social Media Channels (as hereinafter defined) to win Prizes (as specified in those promotional material).
  2. For the avoidance of doubt, the Contest is only limited to those promotional materials on the following social media accounts (the “Social Media Channels”):
  3. In the event of any conflict between these Social Media Contest Terms & Conditions and the promotional material terms & conditions, these Social Media Contest Terms & Conditions shall prevail.

Contest Period

Unless otherwise notified, each individual Contests shall start and end on the dates as specified in the respective promotional materials published by MR.DOLLAR on its Social Media Channels (“Contest Period”). MR.DOLLAR reserves the rights to end the Contest Period earlier or later, and applications received after the Contest Period will not be considered.

Eligibility

  1. This Contest is open to the following individuals (“Eligible Participant”):
    • Malaysian citizens above 18 years of age; or
    • Malaysian citizens of a minimum of 5 years up to below the age of 18 years old, subject to obtaining prior consent from a parent or guardian consent.
  2. Notwithstanding to the foregoing, employees and immediate families of MR.DOLLAR, including its affiliated and/or related companies, distributors, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies, are NOT eligible for this Contest.
  3. Eligible Participants must submit their entries in the manner specified in the relevant promotional material published by MR.DOLLAR on its social media channels, within the Contest Period.
  4. Only Eligible Participants may participate in the Contest and stand a chance to win the Prize.

Mechanics

  1. Participants shall follow the specific mechanics of each individual Contest as specified in the respective promotional material and the Terms & Conditions herein.
  2. Participants are required to have a social media account with privacy settings set to “public”. In the event MR.DOLLAR is unable to verify the entry due to incorrect account settings and/ or being removed by the social media platform for whatsoever reason, the entry will be considered invalid and void.
  3. MR.DOLLAR reserves the right to amend and change the Contest’s winning mechanics at their sole discretion without having to assign any reason whatsoever.

Winners & Announcement

  1. Each Eligible Participant is entitled to win only once throughout the Contest Period, unless otherwise specified in the respective Promotional Material.
  2. Multiple entries from the same account will be counted as one (1) entry, unless otherwise specified in the Promotional Material.
  3. Winners will be selected at random using a commonly available digital random picker tool, under the supervision of MR.DOLLAR.
  4. The total number of winner(s) will be specified in the respective Promotional Material (if any) and selected from all Eligible Participant during the Contest Period based on the mechanics.
  5. The winner of the Contest will be announced within thirty (30) days after the end of the Contest Period, on MR.DOLLAR’s Social Media Channels.
  6. MR.DOLLAR’s decision on the winners list is final and is on its absolute sole discretion. No further correspondence or appeal will be entertained. By participating in this Contest, the participants agree not to challenge and/or object to any decisions made by MR.DOLLAR in connection with the Contest.

Prize Fulfilment

  1. Announced winner(s) shall be required to contact with MR.DOLLAR via MR.DOLLAR Malaysia’s Facebook or Instagram through Private Message (PM) upon selection from the comment section within the stipulated deadline stated in the comment.
  2. Announced winner(s) are required to provide their details via the form provided in the Private Message (PM) sent by MR.DOLLAR within the stipulated deadline stated in the message. This information is required for the purpose of verification, prize fulfilment, and delivery.
  3. MR.DOLLAR reserves the right to forfeit the prizes should the announced winners fail to provide/ respond to MR.DOLLAR the requested/ required details within the stipulated time frame. MR.DOLLAR shall not be held responsible if the winners do not respond within the time frame stated above, for whatsoever reason.
  4. Contest Prize(s) will be sent to Contest Winner(s) according to the mailing address/ contact details provided within the next sixty (60) working days, upon receipt of the required details from the announced Winner(s). Change of mailing address is not allowed.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

  1. By participating in the Contest, Participants are taken to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Contest Terms & Conditions, and accept that all decisions by MR.DOLLAR are final and binding.
  2. MR.DOLLAR reserves the right to change, amend, add or delete any of the Contest Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice to the Participants and the Participants agree to be bound by such changes.
  3. All Contest Winner(s) must abide by the terms and conditions of the parties arranging and/or providing for the prizes and the terms and conditions attached to the prizes, if any.
  4. MR.DOLLAR makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prizes and shall not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage there to or arising there from.
  5. In the event a Contest Winner(s) chooses not to accept a prize, they will disclaim all rights, interests and claims to that prize and the prize will be dealt with according to the sole and absolute discretion of MR.DOLLAR.
  6. All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the Contest Winner(s), and MR.DOLLAR excludes all liabilities, representation and warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law. Contest Winner(s) shall comply with the terms and conditions of each prize.
  7. MR.DOLLAR, its partners and its sponsor(s) (if any) will not be held liable of non-receipt or delayed delivery of Prize or damages caused during the delivery process. No replacement and/or exchange of Prize will be entertained.
  8. MR.DOLLAR reserves the absolute right to substitute any prize with that of similar value at any time without prior notice. All prizes are not transferable, refundable or exchangeable in any other form for whatever reason. The value of the prize is correct at the time of printing. All prizes are given on an “as is” basis.
  9. Contest Winner(s) will not be eligible to win in any other similar upcoming contests within the next ninety (90) days. This rule is put in place to give everyone a fair opportunity to participate and win in MR.DOLLAR Monthly Contests.
  10. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MR.DOLLAR shall not be liable for any loss, damages, or injury (including but not limited to indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damages) incurred by any participant arising from or in connection with the Contest, participation in the Contest, acceptance, use, or misuse of any Prize, or any technical failures, interruptions, or errors in the administration of the Contest.
  11. Participation in the Contest is at the participant’s own risk, and by entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless MR.DOLLAR and its related entities, affiliates, partners, agencies, and their respective employees and representatives from any and all claims or liabilities arising from participation in the Contest or use of the Prize.

Use of Personal Data

All Participants shall consent to the use of their personal data by MR.DOLLAR for the purposes of the administration of this offer and any other purposes to which the participant has consented, such as the Terms and Conditions, Personal Data Notice, and privacy policy published at mrdiy.com.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, MR.DOLLAR retains all proprietary rights to the intellectual property (including but not limited to trademarks and copyrights) used for this Contest and owns the copyright to all content within.
